Project One: Grow

Project One: Grow highlights acquisition language in a fictional direct-mail letter.

Dear Rosie,

What was the last thing you ate? That might sound like a simple question, but for Lucy, it’s a little more complicated. Lucy is one of the 17 million children experiencing hunger in the United States right now.

Feeding Families Foodbank is committed to making meals accessible and reliable for children like Lucy and their hardworking families. Your donation provides free and low-cost meals available for pick-up at our weekly distribution events, reducing hunger for children and their caretakers.

Lucy and her family came to our foodbank after her mother was in the hospital. Despite her parents working long hours and multiple jobs, the medical bills had wiped their bank accounts dry. “I was so scared. Not for me, but for my daughter,” Lucy’s mom shared. “When Lucy had to go to bed without dinner and then go to school the next morning, we knew we had to get help. We can’t thank Feeding Families enough.”

Your gift gives comfort to families during the hardest times of their lives. Feeding Families is the only foodbank in the state dedicated to feeding children and families. This year, we have fed over 3,600 families. But new families attend our event each week, and we need your help.

Please join us in feeding families in need. Your gift of $25 will support children like Lucy, so they can focus on what’s really important: being a kid.

Thank you for opening your heart and joining us to make meals accessible and reliable. You’re gift goes beyond the food, and gives comfort and health to children and their caretakers when they need it most.

In gratitude,

Millie
